Native to Australia the Queensland Silverwattle flowers in the winter months. At its best the large bush is completley covered with golden yellow flowers for up to a month followed by the silver grey foilage of new growth.

Touch, the haptic and smooth space are the primary concerns of Tim Mosely's art practice. With an identity formed within the confluence of three disparate cultures insoluble parts from each are held together in tension within his work. Substantial expertise in papermaking, printmaking, bookbinding and collaborative practice compliment these concerns. Artists books in particular, made under the impress of Silverwattle Bookfoundry, offer him a way to combine conceptual and material content that invites our touch and explore and the nature of reading a book. His practice includes writing that contributes to the discourse of the emerging critical field of artists books. With an output of over 75 unique and editioned artists books Tim Mosely is well represented in prominent artists book collections and exhibitions. These public and private collections include

its been two years of reading, writing and printing and after a long period of allowing my book making lie fallow I find myself needing to make books again. I don't know what form they will take but they are stacking up waiting to be made. I am rather excited about what I am about to find as I re engage the medium of the book, this vehicle of touch.

Ich weiß nicht, welche Form sie stattfinden wird, aber sie stapeln sich warten gemacht werden. Ich bin eher über das, was ich bin zu finden, wie ich Eingriff mit dem Medium Buch, dieses Fahrzeug der Berührung wieder aufgeregt.  (Ich hoffe, diese Sinn machen in Deutsch)

Silverwattle bookfoundry is the realization of a bookmaking practice initiated in 1991 by Tim Mosely. With over 30 years of professional experience Tim maintains a lucid perspective on the book as a potent element within the vocabularies of creative practice. This focus has generated artists books that engage the relationships between the counterpoints of material and concept, image and text, form and function. With an output of over fifty unique and editioned artists books Tim is represented in prominent Australian and international artists book collections. The Press is underpinned by a substantial expertise in printmaking and papermaking combined with bookbinding training. Intaglio, Relief, Lithography and Silkscreening are all readily utilized in diverse forms of the book. The foundry also hosts        - the codex events -  a series of collaborative activities initiated by Tim in 2004.
